La Ceiba Night Snorkel

One of the coolest things I did in Cozumel was a night (10pm) snorkel off of the La Ceiba.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to use my AF35 flash since it flooded on an earlier dive, but I got to try out my Intova dive light. It absolutely rocked! and I got some decent shots just using the dive light as a substitute for the flash. It was SO RAD!
As you can see above, the hotel illuminates the water just off the restaurant. So it's not too dark out in the water. Most of the cool stuff I saw, however, was out in the darkness beyond the hotel's lights.
 Dive light kicked ass!

 Sleeping fishes..

 Octopus

 Eel

 Crab

Puffer..

Stingray..

Saw a Squid!! It got spooked and left an ink cloud..

 More octopus..

Epic time until I got chased out of the water by some kind of invertebrate worm thing. It kept swimming towards my light, even after repeatedly smack kicking it with my dive fins.
What an experience!!
