And Now For Something Completely Different

Went on a shore dive today here in California! Yes, California! Strange I know. It was actually a blast. Such a different environment from Mexico.
Chad and I went right off of La Jolla Shores. Water wasn't bad and saw a lot of cool stuff. Camera and Strobe worked great(although I forgot to put the flash diffuser on..idiot!) First scuba dive in California since the summer of 1998!
Here we GO...

Swim out to the canyon drop off..

 Sand dollar flats..

First ledge..

Bluebanded Gobys..

Chad inspecting a crevice..

Seaslug/hare

La Jolla submarine canyon drop off ledges.. (at about 65-70ft deep)

Baby halibut..they were everywhere!

Apparently this fish is called a "Sarcastic Fringehead"
He didn't like me intruding upon his little hideout hole.
Note the bluebanded Gobys also..

Sheephead cruising at the deep drop off..

 Seaslug/hare

Jellyfish..

More sand dollar flats on the swim back in..

Fun dive and Good to get back underwater.
