Reichstag Building

The Reichstag building/dome in Berlin.
The thing I love to do most when visiting a new city(or any city) is to get a birds eye view of the place. The Reichstag building, besides being one of the main focal points of Berlin, gives a great perspective on the German Capital. The glass dome at the top is extremely unique and offers a great 360 degree view of Berlin.

The spiral walkway up to the top..

 Brandenburg Gate

 Holocaust Memorial

One thing you can really see from the Reichstag is all the different architecture. The architecture in Berlin is truly something unlike anywhere else. Roughly 90percent of the city was destroyed during WWII. Consequently now nearly every building is new and different from one another.

Mom finally made it to Berlin!

Historical timeline of the Reichstag..
Getting to visit this city that has had such immense historical impact on the makeup of the present day world was truly humbling.

Dresden on a Sunday. At dusk..

The train ride from Berlin to Prague was such a cool journey. I even saw a fox in the German countryside! Along the way we stopped in Dresden which had a rad little train station. Reminded me of a miniature Milan centrale.

Maybe next time we'll get to explore the city..
:)
