3000!

DJ3K
The old house in the bronx...where we were witness to so many historic moments for Jeter. The playoff hr against the orioles in '96, the dive against the bosox, Mr November, the list goes on and on...and who could forget The Speech.
The House That Jeter Built

Celebrating the 27th Championship and Jeter addressing the crowd downtown at the parade..
Jeter earlier this season at a game at the stadium in late May.
Wow what a historic day in the Bronx. That was probably the most exciting baseball game I have seen since game 6 of the 2009 world series. The homerun for 3000 was just UNBELIEVABLE! But then again its Jeter and that's just what he does.
5-5 with the hr and the game winning hit...I mean COME ON..Seriously?
The intangibles from today are just scary:
#2
2nd hit of the game
2pm exactly at time of hr
2nd player to hit a hr for 3000 hit
2nd player to get 5 hits on day of getting 3000

FYI: Calling this great moment on YES was Fordham Alum Michael Kay. It was such an emotionally exhilarating yet classy call.

Another tidbit:
Jeter is the 28 player in mlb history to get 3000 hits.
If the Yankees win it all this year it will be their 28th Championship
