Night Dive

In Cozumel I got to go on my first ever night dive. What an experience..it was like being on mars or something. Everyone with a different colored glow stick on their dive tank and their dive lights piercing off into the darkness. Saw a ton of stuff...bunch of crabs, lobsters, an eel swimming about, rays, various fish, and an octopus(which I DIDNT get to see). Not many of my pictures turned out because my camera is not good at night shots. Mainly because of the flash. You have to be right near the subject otherwise the camera just doesn't pick it up. I believe we were down there for a good 45-50min...I was just relieved not to be the first one to run low on air.
Anyways the night dive was one of my favorite things that we did on the trip!

Barracuda

Got followed/chased by a fair amount of barracuda on the trip. I guess that's what happens when you have a shiny dive watch and and a flashy underwater camera. This guy was hanging out opposite the Santa Rosa wall. Besides all the flashy objects, he also probably didn't like me getting so close trying to take a picture. He did a full swoop..going with the drift current in order to get in front of me and then come at me. I stayed low on the reef and swam backwards against the current so my long dive fins could act as a buffer. After a few tense minutes of stalemate he eventually got bored and drifted off.
It was Awesome!
