BRoNXtober

Going to the Bronx now is a lot like going home. There's so many memories and you know there's always gonna be an awesome home cooked meal waiting once you get there. Very nostalgic.. but sad also because  those unforgettable times are over in a sense and the people who made them special are no longer there. Life goes on..It's always great to be able to go back to Fordham and reminisce.
Wow sounds like I actually went to school there...feels like it since I visited sooo many times. Especially the time I stayed for 12 days straight.
A lot has changed lately: Pete's (cafe on e.fordham rd) got a new sign, there's a 7-11 where the gas station is, tigermart is now a dunkin donuts, the bread bakery on Arthur is gone, Hughes building remodeling is complete, there's now a gym in McGinley basement, inside of McGinley has been remodeled and widened, RamVan office and pickup is now between O'Hare and the parking garage and they got new vans, and Pugsleys got a cool new screen door). Times are definitely evolving in the Bronx. Makes me feel old
 MetroNorth Uptown on Monday

 Harlem

Autumn on Arthur Ave
We arrived at lunch time which I really liked. Besides having an entire afternoon to eat and recover and eat some more again and recover and eat more again and again..There is much more activity at this time of day. Workers hustling and bustling about, locals speaking Italian on the corner, people grocery shopping, etc etc.

 Lobster Ravioli Lunch at Umberto's
The food at Umberto's has definitely gotten better as of late. That Lobster was amazing on so many levels.
